London Design Festival 2018

With every year the London Design Festival expands further with new venues popping up across the city. It’s almost impossible to see everything but the Relay team did our best to catch all the week had to offer. Here are our highlights including Jochen Holz and James Shaw who were shown together as part of Future Heritage, curated by Corinne Julius (below).

We were also delighted to join Michael Anastassiades as he discussed his new design for a London water-fountain at the Victoria & Albert Museum.

Also well worth the visit were the beautiful interiors of The Grey House and The Blue House as part of ‘In the Neighbourhood’ - a pop-up design exhibition curated by friends and neighbours Louisa Grey and Morgwn Rimel.

Architecturally, the Framework for Exchange pavilion designed by Universal Design Studio for The Office Group highlighted the need for communal public spaces in the city (photos below courtesy of Els Van Hoorebeeck).

Other highlights included Bethan Laura Wood discussing her collaboration with CC-Tapis. Designjunction saw Chalk jewellery showcase their beautiful collection against a Baux backdrop. Whilst Friends & Founders appeared on the Vitra stand and +Halle joined Umbrella at 100% Design.
